Meet Dr. Hamilton

Dr. J is a clinical psychologist specializing in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for school-aged children, adolescents, and adults. With more than 20 years of experience across medical, educational, and clinical settings, Dr. J brings a warm, thoughtful, and thorough approach to assessment.

Their work includes evaluations for ADHD, autism, learning differences, attention and executive functioning concerns, mood and anxiety, and complex diagnostic questions. Evaluations integrate clinical interviews, developmental and medical history, standardized measures, and behavioral observations to build a clear, individualized understanding of each person’s strengths and areas of need.

Dr. J’s clinical experience spans academic medicine, community mental health, and public and private schools, including training and clinical work at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Boston University Medical Center, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Dr. J takes a collaborative, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming approach to assessment, considering the whole person and the many factors that shape their experience—including culture, identity, family, education, development, and medical history. Their goal is not simply to arrive at a diagnosis, but to help individuals and families better understand how their brain works, recognize both strengths and areas where support may be helpful, and leave the evaluation process with greater clarity and practical recommendations for moving forward.
