Meet Hannah
Dr. Hannah Goehner (she/her)
Dr. Hannah is a clinician passionate about providing person-centered, holistic care to children, adults, and families. She enjoys connecting with her clients as they explore their emotions, identities, and experiences. Hannah brings a wide range of clinical experience to her practice. She holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England and a masters in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, where she took an interest in learning about trauma, weight-inclusive care, and attachment. Her experiences have led her to primarily work with children, adolescents, families, and college students in public schools, residential programs, universities, and outpatient clinics.
Dr. Hannah embraces an integrative therapeutic approach, believing each client deserves an experience tailored to their unique goals, needs, and development. She draws on various evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, DBT, and emotion-focused therapy, to support her clients on their journey. Hannah’s therapeutic approach is grounded in relational theory and liberation psychology. These frameworks often explore how our relationships with ourselves, others, communities, and systems impact well-being. When completing such work, she prioritizes cultivating a nonjudgmental, anti-oppressive, and collaborative environment where the client is the expert on their life.
Dr. Hannah enjoys working with clients wanting a better relationship with their bodies and food. Hannah has specialized in weight-inclusive care, using an anti-diet and fat-liberation approach to assist clients in developing body appreciation, reducing disordered eating behaviors, and embodiment. She also particularly enjoys working with teens or adults who are currently or have specialized in a sport or an art form at an early age. As a prior child and teen competitive figure skater, she recognizes the joys, hardships, and grief that can occur when that identity changes.
